First Impressions

The user experience was very outdated, too simplistic, and performed very poorly with Google pange ranking. It's clear the site could have a much higher customer acquisition rate and benefit from some more recent advances in web design and development.

    Typical Layout and Design

    The design is very typical of an old dentist website. Standard menu items. Basic formatting. Lack of call to actions. Limited text and basic stock photos.

  • Branding


    No Clear Brand

    The logo design and general branding of the business is actually non existant. The logo is very simple and non-vector based.

  • User Experience


    Confusing and Cluttered

    Customers have a goal when they find a website. They want to find out key information, determine if the service can be trusted, learn about the people behing the business, and make contact quickly and easily. This website attempts these goals, but makes a number of basic mistakes that hinders this goal.

  • Technology



    The website is built on a HTML framework which is a very basic solution. It could benefit hugely from a Content Management System like Wordpress to really take thing to the next level. The server could also benefit from a cloud-based server which would increase speed and stability. There are a few errors showing in the console logs.

  • Social


    Non Existent

    There is absolutely no social media precense at all. A Facebook page would be a good decision for this company, and it would grow their user base. This is also the most successful approach to contacting customers to offer deals and provide updates - excellent work.

Having recently looked for a dentist in Victoria, I jumped online like everyone does. After a while I discoverd Dentist on Highfield Park after a bit of a Google search. My first impressions were pretty typical of other competitor websites that I found.

My goal for this challenge was to design a fresh and engaging website. More importantly I wanted to implement a booking system, powerful customer onboarding tools, and provide a clear marketing plan for the business to leverage off.
